We left off with a discussion of the phrase "come down from heaven" in Rev. 18:1. The discussion centered on the fact that we have generally understood all things to be symbolic in nature. Therefore, how could Jesus come 'down' from the symbolic heavens and have His glory lighten the symbolic earth - as opposed to - Jesus coming 'down' from literal heaven to enlighten the (literal or symbolic) earth.
