THE REVELATION

Rotherham's Emphasized Bible

One of the great advantages of Rotherham's Emphasized Bible is his use of italics to denote quotations from the Old Testament. Believing that the Lord has a purpose for everything, there must be a reasonable purpose for the many Old Testament quotes found in the book of Revelation. It is with the thought that He is intending for us to go back to the source of those quotes to discover why He is quoting from there that his web page has been put together.

The probability of some error in getting the correct reference in each case does exist. There are two reasons for this.

1. All references were in very small lower-case Roman Numerals. It was often difficult to distinguish between the 'l' and the 'i'.

2. Human error, i.e., 'fat fingering.'

Since we are to 'prove all things, hold fast that which is good', the user of this tool will have to judge for themselves the validity of the quotations (as relates to how the Lord is using it in the Revelation). While there are places where the author of this web page did not agree with Mr. Rotherham's citing a particular text, neverthless, we have left the references untouched.

May the Lord bless you in your search of His Word.
